Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Nurse Coordinator

Part Time - Fixed term role (9 months from commencement)

32 hours per fortnight- Colac Area Health is a values based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.- Acting as the ERAS Champion, this leadership role supports the implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery model of care for the selected Arthroplasty and Colorectal surgical patient Cohort.


What's required?

Essential:


  • Division One Registered Nurse (APHRA)
  • Degree or Diploma of nursing with post graduate qualification
  • Minimum of five years clinical and or leadership experience with excellent assessment and nursing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be selfdirected and work autonomously.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the philosophy of ERAS
  • Demonstrate experience and ability in managing and implementing evidence based care pathways.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in a role which interacts with different levels of stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation, communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills, in order to engage with a wide variety of internal and external professionals at all organisational levels, and groups.
  • Demonstrated organisational, prioritisation and documentation skills with attention to detail

Desirable:


  • Previous experience as a clinical nurse consultant or clinical nursing management role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience in structured improvement and/or project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience using clinical and administrative information system
