Role Details:
The Manager, Partnerships and Integrated Practice, is a senior leadership role within Safer Family Services and is accountable to the Director, Safer Family Services, to:

  • Provide leadership, strategic direction and support to leaders, practitioners and project officers in Safer Family Services and partner organisations, ensuring high quality and accountable services are delivered in the context of identified priorities.
  • Guide and contribute to the development and implementation of evidence informed services, projects and programs to infants, children, young people, families, and staff.
  • Provide knowledge and expertise in integrated community development to develop policy, projects and programs within Safer Family Services, broader organisation, and within community.
  • Build, manage and maintain relationships with peak advisory bodies and key stakeholders, including DHS, other government departments, nongovernment, and Aboriginal communitycontrolled organisations.
  • Lead and support the develop and implementation of new and current projects utilising contemporary project management methodologies that bring growth and change to communities, and increase wellness and safety in relation to unborn, infants, children, young people, and their families, where multiple and complex atrisk concerns have been identified.


Key outcomes and accountabilities:


  • Lead service improvement including the development, implementation, monitoring and review of professional practice standards and service models across Safer Family Services projects and programs.
  • Deliver effective system level leadership and strategic direction by participating in the planning, management and evaluation of processes and procedures to deliver high standards and quality outcomes for unborn, infants, children, young people, and families.
  • Exercise managerial responsibilities within Safer Family Services to provide leadership, supervision and performance management to effectively inform and support staff, to achieve desired goals and objectives of programs and projects, including accountability for the effective management and allocation of finances within allocated programs


Key outcomes and accountabilities:


  • Build, manage and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with peak and advisory bodies, across government, non-government, and Aboriginal community-controlled organisations.
  • Provide advice and reports to the Director about planning, (ongoing) development, implementation, monitoring and review of policy and programs, including undertaking appropriate data and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, and manage risks associated with program development and implementation.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high quality standards and written documents, (including briefings and reports to a range of stakeholders), proactively identify improvements and take initiative in addressing improvement needs within the business unit.

Note:

Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department.

The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.


Special Conditions:
National Police Check required.

Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.

Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).


Covid -1- will be required to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccination status prior to engagement with DHS, unless it would be medically unsafe for the employee to do so.


Role Status:
Term up 07/02/2025.

Tertiary qualification in a related field or equivalent expertise, training or professional accreditation is desirable.
