UON is currently seeking experienced and motivated Apprentice Boilermaker to join the Production team in our Malaga workshop.

Our requirements for you to be an Apprentice at UON:

Hold Boilermaker apprenticeships or completion of relevant pre-apprentice qualifications (essential)
Previous experience working as a TA. (essential)
Committed to a 4 year apprenticeship (essential)
Pass a preemployment medical and Drug & Alcohol screen (essential)
Must be an Australian citizen/resident and reside in the Perth Metropolitan Area due to location of positions; (essential)
Experience within the manufacturing industry using basic welding knowledge (preferred)
Hold a current and valid WA manual driver's license (preferred)
Forklift ticket (preferred)
Customer focused and company orientated (essential)

Your main responsibilities will include:

Work together with the Boilermakers technician in the activities such as:
Interpret workshop drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
Installing boilers into facilities.
Reading blueprints for location, position, and dimensions.
Completing maintenance documentation.
Organizing and assembling boiling parts.
Shaping and fabricating parts.
Cleaning pressure vessel equipment.
Inspecting equipment for proper functioning
Shaping and fabricating
Heat treat metal parts and components
Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or computer
Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting
Cut, roll, shape, bend, mould, spin, heat or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or subassemblies
Operating workshop machines
Using hand and power tools
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 6AM3:00P
Training, uniforms, PPE, and mentoring will be provided to ensure your success
