    Banking & Finance Treasury and/or Risk Specialist Sydney Permanent / Full Time

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Review and update (as required) relevant compliance policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.
    • Ensure that all policies and procedures are effectively implemented within the business.
    • Undertake on-going compliance monitoring of the activities of the business.
    • Keep abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices, proactively advising the organisation on potential impacts and recommending necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance.
    • Conduct regular compliance assessments to identify gaps and areas for improvement, developing and implementing appropriate policies, procedures, and controls to address them.

    The ideal candidate will possess experience the following:

    • Proven experience of at least 2-3 years in a compliance role with a financial services organisation required and preferably with fixed income experience.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable Australian financial services, anti-money laundering, privacy and data breach reporting laws and regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
    • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align compliance considerations with commercial objectives, driving innovative and compliant solutions.
    • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
    • Strategic mindset and sound judgment, with the ability to navigate complex compliance challenges and provide practical solutions.
