The Production Manager will ensure that production and quality is maintained according to the companies standards through all stages of development and production.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the production process and create critical path timelines for each season.
  • Liaising with offshore factories regarding all stages of development and production (including sending initial designs and tech packs, Salesman sample stage through to bulk production).
  • Supporting the design team throughout the process to ensure on time and highquality delivery of garments.
  • Work closely with the design team to select appropriate fabrications for new styles, in line with costs based on brief and preferred materials guidelines & targets.
  • Assisting in sourcing of new suppliers where required.
  • Run WIP meetings and Critical path meetings with the Design/Production team; communicating the production status, highlighting any issues or potential delivery problems and finding solutions.
  • Collating buy sheets after key selling periods, and placing bulk order qty's with suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers ensuring business target margins are achieved whilst elevating and maintaining quality standards.
  • Closely oversee bulk production orders.
  • Work with freight forwarders and warehouses on delivery schedules, consolidating freight, and coordinating bulk shipments.
  • Followup on delivery dates and communicate any issues with the team.
  • Assisting with all aspects of QC management.
  • Implementing and managing quality control standards, proactively handle and resolve quality issues.
  • Reviewing production invoices and liaising on bulk payments, deposits etc.
  • Work with marketing on communicating ethical sourcing and sustainability.
  • Maintain strong communication across the organisation across all levels.
  • Develop, lead and scope international expansion plans which may include international travel.

Skills and experience:


  • A strong ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met
  • A strong ability to meet critical path deadlines & display excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail skills
  • Impeccable organisational and time management skills
  • Product knowledge, offshore garment construction knowledge and supply chain management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Proven price negotiation and cost savings experience
  • Good knowledge of both woven and knitted fabrics
  • Proactive in identifying new opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Advanced in MS Excel, forecasting, problemsolving and robust analytical skills
  • Experience using an ERP system advantageous
  • Skills using Adobe Illustrator advantageous
