About this Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team in Rowville.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling and implementing of maintenance strategies based on historical information and statutory requirements to ensure that equipment is maintained in the most cost effective manner.

The performance of our operation relies heavily on a well-managed Maintenance program. The role of the Maintenance Planner is therefore pivotal to the success of plant maintenance activities.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing plant maintenance tasks, schedules and work instructions for all assets;
  • Tracking plant maintenance schedules and work order for all assets;
  • Preparing maintenance department performance KPI's;
  • Identifying trends and opportunities to improve asset reliability by analysis of manufacturing and engineering performance data;
  • Planning and scheduling all day to day maintenance activities and resources utilising SAP;
  • Maintaining the requirements of SAP Plant maintenance module and continuously improve the SAP PM Module;
  • Coordinating with Production, Maintenance Fitters, Electrician and External contractors to ensure all resources are effectively utilised during routine and shutdown maintenance;
  • Ensuring all documentations related to asset management are well organised and easily retrievable;
  • Contractor supervision and management;
  • Assist Maintenance Manager with capital projects and other departmental duties, as required;
  • Assist Maintenance Manager in stores management.

About You

  • Trade or Tertiary qualified (ideally mechanical or electrical trades);
  • Experience in reliability focused maintenance in a manufacturing or process plant environment;
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning principles and procedures; and computerised maintenance planning systems is essential;
  • Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP);
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement improvement initiatives;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to build effective relations with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of Excel is mandatory;
  • Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable but not essential.
