About the role
This is a

permanent,

full-time, Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm position working

38 hours per week. Located at the

Ulladulla Water Depot.


Duties
Reporting directly to the Supervisor - Wastewater Distribution South, the focus of this position is to:

  • Supports a work group within Council to enable Council to function at an optimal level.
  • Communicate with Operations personnel and Supervisors to ensure workflow is maintained at expected standards.
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner, coaches and provide constructive feedback.
  • Responsible for the day to day direction and control of Water/Wastewater Attendants and temporary staff working from the treatment plant, including coaching and on the job training.
  • Provide direction to contractors employed on behalf of Shoalhaven Water (eg underbores and excavators).
  • Scheduled maintenance of water reticulation system (including hydrant maintenance).
  • Construction of water reticulation systems and connecting of new services.

Skills & Experience
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the maintenance and construction of wastewater or water systems
  • Current Confined Spaces Entry Certificate
  • Current WorkSafe First Aid Certificate
  • Current WorkSafe Construction Induction Certificate
  • Current Traffic Controller Certificate
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or the right to work in Australia (visa)
