THE ROLE

An outstanding opportunity awaits a motivated and experienced Legal Secretary to join the Dispute Resolution / Litigation team in their Sydney CBD office.

As a Senior Legal Secretary, you will provide proactive support to a Partner and team of lawyers while also offering overflow support for the secretarial team.

This full-time position offers exposure to a diverse range of litigation matters.


Key responsibilities may include:

  • Liaising with cliets and other fee earners
  • Assisting with document and brief preparation
  • Lodging documents and scheduling conferences / mediations
  • Drafting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence
  • Opening and closing matters
  • Processing expenes and maintaining accurate records
  • Time recording and monthly billing
  • Inputting and updating client data using CRM software
  • Ad hoc administrative duties (e.g. printing, scanning, copying)

THE CANDIDATE

  • Minimum 3yrs experience as a Legal Secretary in litigation
  • Proficiency in MS Suite
  • Prior experience with billing, ideally using Aderant
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skill
  • Typing proficiency, resourcefulness and excellent organisational abilities
