Position Overview:


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with allied health professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and behaviour analysts, to implement individualised therapy plans for children.
  • Provide direct support to children during therapy sessions, ensuring their safety, engagement, and participation.
  • Facilitate group activities and workshops, including dance and music classes, designed to promote social interaction, sensory integration, and motor skills development.
  • Assist parents and caregivers in understanding therapy goals and strategies, offering guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive environment within the clinic, fostering a sense of belonging and acceptance for all participants.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts to satellite clinics and community centres, delivering therapy services and educational workshops to underserved areas.
  • Document and track progress toward therapy goals, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to adjust interventions as needed.
  • Stay informed about emerging research, best practices, and therapeutic approaches within the field of neurodiversity and allied health.

Qualifications:


  • Allied health student including speech, occupational therapy, podiatry, exercise physiology, or education highly regarded.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with neurodevelopmental differences, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with children and families.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a deep respect for the unique strengths and challenges of neurodiverse individuals.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation for travel to satellite clinics as needed.

From $42,760.00 per year
