Disability Support Worker, you'll empower people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes by providing tailored care and support.

DHSA is committed to offering specialized support to clients with high-level and complex care needs, ensuring their ability to keep living comfortably in their own homes.

For instance, this may include support with transfers/mobility, respiratory support, wound care, and medication management.

Your responsibilities may include:

Assist clients with daily activities, personal care, and community involvement.
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
Assist with household tasks and activities, if required.
Regularly document and report on client progress.
Collaborate with the care team to implement individual care plans.

Essential skills & qualifications:

Previous experience providing home care support, including highlevel and complex care.
Provide reliable and highquality care, working independently and as part of a team.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients, families, and other service providers.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Required documentation:

Current First Aid Certificate
Current Police Check
Confirmation of right to work in Australia
Full COVID19 Vaccination
Desireable criteria:_
Minimum of 3 years experience in home support or health care services.
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
A valid driver's license.
