The role
The Manager - Warehouse manages distribution of supplies across the CBH network.

This role is responsible for the performance of the warehouse, including day to day management of team, building relationships with counterparts in regional locations and meeting key metrics with regard to safety, efficiency and effectiveness.


Key responsibilities- Implement and fulfill warehouse and operational objectives that align with the company strategic plan- Manage team day to day activities including training and succession planning- Maintain and improve information systems and work processes to optimise staff performance- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in daily operations- Establish warehouse preservation routines and transportation and storage standards to prevent degradation of spares.- Establish systems and routines to regularly improve stock accuracy and delivery commitments.- Provide coaching and guidance to ~20 metro & regional stores on the proper operation of forward stores.- Business owner for several categories of goods which involves decision making on suppliers and products- Optimise inventory integrity through disciplined, accurate receiving, picking and replenishment, and despatch- Maintaining the inventory management budget of, including tracking expenses, analysing spending patterns, and implementing cost-saving measures.- Use analytics tools to analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), such as inventory turnover, order fulfilment rates, and on-time delivery metrics


Skills and experience- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered- Ability to drive and support the embedded safety culture at CBH warehouse- Demonstrated strong customer focus.- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data to make informed decisions.- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, mentor and develop a small operational team.- Demonstrated ability to translate whole-of-business tactical plans into inventory management tactics and warehouse operational plans.- Demonstrated ability to set warehouse management standards, and to hold teams and contractors to these standards.- Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.- Self-motivated with time management skills, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.- Problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail- Strong understanding and proven experience of practical processes within stock control, handling and stocktaking- Experience in software-based stock control systems.
