For our office located at Sydney International Airport we are looking for a Head of Finance & IT.

The Head of Finance & IT is a senior executive position in charge of managing the financial actions of the company whilst simultaneously leading the strategic management of IT functions.

This role involves overseeing all aspects of financial and information systems success.

This role is also a contributor to the executive team who collectively set strategy in line with the Regional Vision and monitors the execution of initiatives in line with the strategic goals.

Your new job includes

  • Responsible for corporate governance and ensuring relevant policies to manage tax, risk, and statutory compliance
  • Ongoing risk management by analysing the organisations liabilities and investment
  • Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
  • Lead and develop the Finance Team
  • Support Executive Team with Business Planning for both current and new business opportunities
  • Drive the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process in line with Regional and Global expectations
  • In charge of tax planning and lodgement
  • Manage vendor/commercial relationships
  • Manage relations with Sydney Airport IT, and Regional and Global contacts for IT matters
  • Responsible for IT service providers (contracts, SLAS, quotation)
  • Preparation of reports and proposals for IT related matters
What you should bring along

  • Tertiary qualifications with Professional Accounting as major, CPA/CA qualification, Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Preferable 10 years' experience as in a senior finance and/or IT position
  • Experience in new technologies, covering Web, POS and backend integration
  • Preferable, general process knowledge or background in Retail and/or Distribution industry
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and people skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and coordination in an complex and fast moving environment
  • Persuasive communication, verbal skills and decision making
  • Stakeholder and partnership building
  • Foster environment of transparency to influence high quality decision making for the executive team.
