The position is integral in supporting First Nations People to navigate and access DPV Health services.

It also supports the organisation to gain the confidence and trust of the Aboriginal community and build upon the cultural awareness and other related work that has already been developed across the organisation.


Key deliverables for this role include empowering DPV Health staff to provide a culturally informed and safe service, attending and organising cultural events to build community relations and supporting clients to access DPV Health's services as an Aboriginal access worker.


Desired Skills and Experience:

There are no formal educational qualifications for this role or registrations. A qualification relevant to health e.g. Certificate 3 or 4 in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care is highly desirable.


You do need to have a Lived experience relevant to First Nations People, demonstrated cultural awareness, experience in leading projects, strong engagement and communication skills.

Ideally you will be a person who identifies as a First Nations person and has a driver licence.
