Main Purpose of the Job

This position is to implement therapy plans as designed by a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist.

This role is to assess, collaborate, plan and implement high level paediatric OT supports and parent education to our clients, their families and partners in the community.

For highly experienced applicants, the opportunity to manage the OT department within Spring Forward is also available, inclusive of profit sharing.

Position Overview

  • Ensuring a high quality of evidencebased and ethical care is provided to clients of our service
  • Managing a diverse caseload of client care
  • Assessing, goal setting, planning, report writing and implementing personalised and successful intervention plans for clients
  • Develop goals and plans in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team
  • Manage weekly schedule to ensure achieving all set KPI's
  • Proposing, developing and contributing to both OT and mulitdisciplinary focused projects within the company
  • Develop plans for therapy assistants to implement and comprehensive home programs for clients
  • Complete individualised and/or group parent education
  • Contribute OT expertise to a multidisciplinary team
  • Providing inservices to the team and approved community partners about relevant topics
  • Administering a range of clinical assessments of a standardised and nonstandardised nature
  • Positively promoting OT and OT services at Spring Forward Family Centre
  • Actively engage in weekly OT supervision and professional development
Minimum Required Education/Training

  • Experience working with kids
  • Bachelor's degree in OT
  • AHPRA registration
  • OTA Membership
  • Working with children check (paid)
  • Police check clear
  • First aid certificate
  • NDIS Worker Number
  • CPR
