  • Assist to develop, support, and enhance the public information and warnings capability for emergencies, where the Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) and State Emergency Service (SES) are response management agencies, in collaboration with the Manager and Coordinator Public Information and Warnings

Duties:


Assist to develop, support, and enhance the public information and warnings capability for emergencies, where the Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) and State Emergency Service (SES) are response management agencies, in collaboration with the Manager and Coordinator Public Information and Warnings.


Essential Requirements:


Pre-Employment Checks

  • Arson and fire setting;
  • Sexual offences;
  • Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
  • Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
  • Making false declarations;
  • Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
  • Malicious damage and destruction to property
  • Trafficking of narcotic substance;
  • False alarm raising.

Desirable Requirements:


  • Experience and/or qualifications in emergency management and/or a related field.
  • A current full car driver licence.
