Overview / Responsibilities:

Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Ampol to deliver leading maintenance and project services to their Lytton Refinery.


We are currently sourcing an experienced Shutdown Planner with extensive maintenance experience in Oil & Gas or similar industry to join the Wood team at the Ampol Refinery based in Lytton, Brisbane - on a permanent basis.

The successful applicant will be reporting directly to the Turnaround Lead and will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting with developing scopes for the shutdown
  • Planning the scope with the Turnaround Lead and Coordinations
  • Ensuring the scope is fully executed during the shutdown window with the goal of increasing the reliability of all assets at site
  • Leading constructability reviews
  • Imperative this role will consistently track and report on all scopes within the Refinery including but not limited to
  • Maintenance, Integrity, Projects & Contractors
  • You will be responsible for providing advice and managing the work associated with execution of all shutdown activities including project activities

Skills / Qualifications:

To be successful for this position you will require the following:

  • Major oil and gas shutdown & Turnaround planning experience
  • Estimation experience of Mechanical and Hot work scopes
  • Shutdown scheduling experience required
  • Trade/Degree background will be advantageous with substantial experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Primavera P6 experience
  • SAP experience
