Description:


A part time opportunity has become available for a friendly and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our dynamic Finance team based in Scarborough.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, this role will work two - three days per week on a month contract.


Skills and Experiences:


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years in a Accounts Payable role
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role and demonstrated experience in a financial environment
  • Experience working in a highvolume processing environment
  • Experience in accounting software packages, competence in maintaining and developing complex spread sheets, and the ability to present complex and varied data in a simple, concise, easy to understand manner
  • Understand financial audit, reporting and compliance obligations and the actions needed to satisfy them
  • Display an awareness of financial risk and exposure and solutions to address these
  • High level of interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow up procedures
  • High level of analytical and numeracy skills
  • Proficient level of computer literacy
  • Experience in AP automation software
Desirable

  • Experience working within a notforprofit/aged care, wellness, or disability sector will be well regarded.
  • Experience/understanding of services for older people and working with older people would be an advantage.
