This is an exciting opportunity to join the Institutional Client Coverage team, based in Sydney, in this newly created Director, TBS Service role supporting the Transaction Banking component of IB&M's Banks relationships.


Your Impact and Contribution
This position has responsibility for ongoing TBS Service proposition for our global banks and their subsidiaries.

The role reports to Executive Director, Institutional Client Coverage, based in Sydney, who is responsible for business development with Global Banks and offshore public sector clients in home market corridors.


As a Director, TBS Service in Coverage, the role requires a blend of relationship management, strategic planning skills, ruthless prioritisation and commercial acumen to deliver value-added solutions and drive long-term client satisfaction with bank customers across CBA's international network.

You will work closely with your teammates in New York, London, Amsterdam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing and Auckland to provide seamless cross-border connectivity across CBA's network and drive service excellence with the world's largest banks.

Your performance targets will be a blend of financial results, international bank team feedback and client outcomes.


Together with the global banks team you will identify customer pain-points, understand our customers' aspirations and importantly how that intersects with CBA's offering as it relates to Payments.

Your proactive customer engagement and coordination service response will ensure you are uniquely positioned to work with Sydney-based product and risk partners to represent your international teammates learnings and client feedback and ensue tomorrow's solutions and capacity are being developed today.

We are a product agnostic coverage team with a strong growth agenda and are looking for a passionate, customer-obsessed banker with an appetite for industry content development and thought leadership.


  • Tertiary qualifications in a businessrelated discipline.
  • Bank customer coverage, portfolio management and product sales experience
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and collaborative skills
  • Curiosity and desire to drive change and deliver improvement across the business
  • An understanding of risk management, particularly financial crime, credit and market risk.
  • Offshore banks experience, particularly 'catch and throw' relationship management will be highly regarded.
