    We are on the lookout for a proactive and energetic Health & Safety Business Partner to join our team, specifically supporting a group of sites within Boral's Sydney Concrete division.

    Reporting to a Senior Health & Safety Business Partner, your main focus will be to assist our operational teams in enhancing their effectiveness, thus fostering a safer workplace for everyone.

    You will be involved in driving, facilitating, and executing significant health and safety enhancements across a varied operational portfolio.

    As a true business partner, you will enjoy traveling to sites regularly, engaging with leaders and employees to understand their challenges better and create learning opportunities from incidents to enhance performance.

    This role involves building a deep understanding of our operations and establishing strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure good safety outcomes.

    This is a full-time opportunity, with candidates needing to be flexible to travel to different sites across the South Eastern region of Sydney. A motor vehicle allowance will be provided to support this.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Collaborating with and supporting operational leaders on risk management
    • Enhancing the collective health and safety capacity of operational teams by providing expert advice and coaching
    • Guiding the Product Lines in managing risk, implementing critical controls, and coordinating risk reduction activities
    • Assisting in the rollout of the Boral Health & Safety Strategy
    • Managing incident response, analysis, and learnings
    • Preparing for and managing HSE Regulatory Compliance inspections and audits
    • Facilitating the implementation of the HSEQ Management System & National Programs
    • Oversight of HSE risk registers and facilitating operational risk assessment reviews
    • Reviewing contractor management and audits to ensure compliance
    • Conducting Assurance Audits and monitoring WHS actions

    We are looking for:

    • A positive and proactive individual keen on collaborating with operational teams
    • An open-minded person willing to embrace new ideas
    • Experience in similar roles, especially in incident investigations
    • Proven success in driving organizational change in complex environments
    • Knowledge of WHS regulations, systems, and processes
    • Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
    • Strong interpersonal, emotional intelligence, and communication skills
