Overview:

The role
We are seeking an experienced

Application Support Analyst to join our stable and friendly Brisbane team on an initial 6-month fixed term contract.


This role has become available due to an internal secondment, and works within the Automation & Applications team you would be joining is responsible for facilitating business lead change within the organisation through structured analysis and support.


Responsibilities:


This role's primary purpose is to deliver technical consultancy services to support the deployment and use of software solutions to meet client needs.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with internal clients, colleagues and vendors to resolve issues in an effective and timely manner
  • Understanding the business impact of operational activities, issues, and changes made in Production.
  • Requirements gathering, functional specification creation and user training;
  • Supporting the incident management and the change advisory board governance process
  • Developing recommendations on support requests to drive continuous improvement;

Qualifications:

About you
You are naturally curious and enjoy liaising with various stakeholders both internally and externally.

You will understand complex corporate environments (Insurance or Financial services is beneficial but not mandatory) and know how to navigate and ask questions to develop your knowledge.


Other skills and experience include:

  • 3+ years previous Application Support experience
  • High levels of patience while working on the complex issues
  • Ability to coordinate technical activities with multiple stakeholders to achieve resolutions
  • Outstanding Customer Service
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong client liaison skills internal and vendor side
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Baseline Security clearance desirable but not mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
