ABOUT THE ROLE
This will be a Full-Time (1.0FTE) role commencing 1 January 2024.

New Barker Staff will be expected to attend Orientation in late January 2024, prior to all staff commencing on Monday 29 January 2024.


The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Engineering and have a keen interest in developing engineering skills and knowledge in students.

Applicants for this position should have experience teaching the Stage 6 Engineering Studies course.

They will possess both the theoretical and practical knowledge of this course and have a proven track record as a dynamic and outstanding educator in this field.

Experience and interest in teaching Stage 5 Computing Technology and iSTEAM would be beneficial.


Barker College has an exceptional Robotics Program that provides cocurricular opportunities for students in our Junior, Middle and Senior School sections, as well as for off-site Indigenous students.

Our Senior School program was inducted into the FIRST Hall of Fame (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) in 2021 and has frequently competed in the World Championships since 2015.

Knowledge and interest in these fields is desirable.
