About Your Role:


As our DES Employment Consultant based in Bankstown, you will coach and assist our clients of different demographics to overcome barriers to employment, and support them in attaining and maintaining employment.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will provide one on one support and develop individualised job plans and action plans to build our employee's capacity.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Run assisted group and individual job search sessions.
  • Liaise and negotiate with local business, employers, industry and other organisations on behalf of our employees, to job carve, or effectively refer them to suitable opportunities.
  • Develop individualised training plans, and deliver/facilitate individual and group learning activities and training.
  • Assess work requirements, abilities and interest.
  • Assist employees to develop the skills and knowledge to work safely and effectively.
  • Implement and coordinate behaviour management plans.
  • Ensure efficiency and compliance with administrative processes.
  • Maximise our employee's participation in the workplace.
  • Supporting employees within the work experience environment.

About You:

You are a champion for change who strives to achieve better results.

With your driven nature, you have demonstrated experience in meeting and exceeding performance base targets, and are able to work autonomously.

You consider your communication and interpersonal skills to be your greatest strengths, and have the ability to build effective partnerships with employees, stakeholders and businesses.

Having prior exposure with people with a disability or experience in a similar industry, you understand the challenges our clients face when looking for work.

Importantly, you have a passion for the sector and relate to our mission and values.


Requirements:


  • Third COVID vaccine dose
  • Previous experience supporting people with a disability.
  • Recruitment/Employment experience OR;
  • Sales/Business Development experience.
  • Confidence in marketing to employers.
  • Ability to facilitate skill based training/lessons.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 and above) and your own motor vehicle.
  • WWC Check and NDIS Workers Check or willingness to obtain.
