The Role


Reporting to the National head, as the Construction Manager you will lead a high performing team of Project Managers and Contract Administrators to ensure the successful design & delivery of significant industrial projects across Victoria.


Duties will include:

  • Responsible and accountable for the overall performance of construction activities within the region
  • Management of all staff with the construction division.
  • Work in conjunction with National Commercial Manager, Quality Manager and Sustainability Manager
  • Maintain a safe working environment in line with WHS&E legislation and FPI policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance to all building Acts, regulations, standards and by laws.
  • Understand and implement design development and value management process
  • Promotion of a positive working environment in which the FPI values of Collaborative, Progressive, Respectful and Real allow development opportunities for staff and for them to perform at their peak.
  • Complement new business, including cost planning, design, legal, planning to ensure input and advice on any new projects / acquisitions and developments.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers, contractors and consultants.
  • Maintain excellent customer service to both tenant (customer) and end owner.
  • Establish and maintain financial and risk reporting across all projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity from either a main contractor or development group, ideally with a focus on industrial projects.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to influence
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with change management
