Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

The Company
Our client is a well-established and expanding entity operating within the mining sector. They are currently searching for a Payroll Officer on a temporary to permanent basis. Located in the heart of Brisbane City, they also offer one day work from home flexibility. They are led by experienced and supportive leaders dedicated to fostering growth and collaboration.

This role offers a unique opportunity as a standalone position overseeing payroll for 100 employees on a fortnightly basis.

The Role
Reporting to the CFO, responsibilities will include but not limited to;

Maintaining and update employee records
Processing daily timesheets (in PDF format)
Verifying payments through external payroll provider
Handling payment of superannuation, payroll tax, and Workcover
Consistently enhancing operational processes
Assisting with any employee inquiries

About You
This position is ideal for an individual who thrives on process improvement and systems management within a reporting environment. You will possess end-to-end payroll experience, strong attention to detail and problem solving skills. You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable in a standalone position. Experience using iChris software is advantageous but not essential.
