About the job

We have an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team at Alcoa's Powerhouse.

This a permanent, drive-in drive out position working Monday to Friday roster, this role is based within our Wagerup Refinery.

As an Alcoa Superintendent, you will play a large part in the success of work execution and people engagement.


This leadership role is responsible for coaching and mentoring others to reach their full potential, developing and upholding very high standards in safety, maintenance practices whilst guiding diverse teams to achieve its goals in all areas of the business.


In this critical position you will- Be accountable for all day to day functions including the delivery of essential power station services to the refinery, safety, environment, people, equipment reliability, budgeting, cost control, planning- Responsible for the training and development of employees.- Directly manage front line leaders who are in turn responsible for the performance of crews operating on continuous and non-continuous shift structures.- Supporting the formulation and execution of strategic plans to shape the future direction of the power station.

About you


To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking an experienced and accomplished leader of multi-disciplinary teams within a challenging business environment who has the following experience- Demonstrable success in key focus areas of Safety and Environment.- Experienced in implementing and leading change initiatives.- Excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude for establishing and nurturing highly productive relationships- Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the Organisation in both a tactical and strategic business context.
