About the role
The Clinical team is the heart of CardioScan.

The Clinical Operations Manager - AU will lead and manage a team of Cardiac Physiologists and is responsible for all aspects of work on the AU Clinical Operations floor.

You will work closely with all operational staff, Team Leader/s, Cardiac Physiologists, Reporting Cardiologists, and other key stakeholders within CardioScan.

You will be expected to be in regular communication with the Director of Clinical Operations.


As the Clinical Operations Manager - AU, you will have a thorough understanding and in-depth knowledge of systems and workflows.

You will ensure that all systems, processes, and resources are managed such that our customers are provided with an excellent Quality of Service and with strict adherence to the contractual obligations of various reporting contracts.


In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Operations, you will execute the operational strategies for the AU services including budget and resource allocation and actively lead in line with our core mission and values.

You will have a hands-on approach in mentoring, providing leadership, and ensuring all goals are orientated towards the successful delivery of results to our valued customers.


Key responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the Clinical department and ensure the Quality of Service and SLA's are exceeded for all customers
  • Ensure all procedures and workflows from end to end associated with the collection of ECG, Holter, BP and other Devices utilised by Cardioscan to Report for its customer base allow for accurate and efficient processing by the Reporting Cardiologist and the operational team
  • Ensure Cardioscan is consistently surpassing its contractual obligations pertaining to its SLA's associated with Reporting
  • Workload must be managed and balanced between Cardiac Physiologists and the external party so that overtime is minimised and Cardiac Physiologists' KPIs are maximized the role of this duty is to assist the Director of Clinical Operations to achieve this outcome
  • Continuous improvement methodology must be adopted in all aspects associated with the processes and procedures determining the management of patient data on the operational floor
  • Consistently improve processes and workflows by fine tuning existing systems so that client data is managed efficiently and accurately
  • Consistently seek to improve the operational floor processes and workflows by assessing problem areas and incorporate solutions
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships in the team and actively seek to develop an enriched cultural environment for all team members
  • Develop individual and team goals and implement a plan to carry out objectives
  • Ensure all team member's contributions and productivity is in line with the expectations set out by management
  • Motivate, promote, and direct operational staff to meet goals
  • Maintain an open line of communication between staff and senior management
  • Ensure weekly meetings are conducted and minuted
  • Ensure appraisals are completed annually on all operational team members
  • Undertake all other duties as directed by the Director of Clinical Operations

Key deliverables

  • Achievement of targets and relevant individual KPI's
  • Consistent tracking of business KPI's and objectives for the group

About you

  • A Bachelor of Science, Certificate IV (Cardiac Physiologist) or recognised tertiary equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in related fields of practice
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Team Lead or Management role
  • Results driven and goal oriented with the ability to demonstrate excellent judgment, decisionmaking and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent people management and collaboration skills with the ability to positively connect to and work effectively with people at all levels and backgrounds
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to represent CardioScan in a positive manner in dealing with customers and employees
