The Role


You are a procurement professional capable of managing a major government rail infrastructure projects with a strong understanding of Infrastructure and general construction methodologies.


You will need to be highly motivated, supremely well organised, and commercially focussed to join an experienced and professional team to handle a major rail initiative with professional project input and collaborative skill.

This key role will use your broader understanding of commercial and financial fundamentals, your proven ability to collaborate, ability to roll out a project with great affect and work with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, easy


Experience

  • Proven and effective methods for leading others in a cohesive team environment, whilst delivering on integrated transaction & commercial processes and activities.
  • Management of procurement & commercial risks and issues, probity, and commercial reviews.
  • Production of required procurement plans, procedures and forms required to facilitate the implementation of contracts.
  • Preparation of tender documentation or other market facing documentation and collation of documents required for assurance reviews.
  • Supervise all procurement activities to ensure effective subcontractors' performance and that the full scope of work assigned meets appropriate contractual obligations.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills to influence and negotiate with all stakeholders.
  • Proven understanding of the tendering process supported by experience with and understanding of the legislation, policy, processes, and practices involved in planning and delivering on procurement activities.

Skills

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience is preferred which may include Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, Construction Management, Law (particularly construction), Commerce/Business, or Engineering.
  • Highly commercial, numerate and with an analytical aptitude and ability to identify appropriate value added or value engineering opportunities
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work on multiple activities as part of an agile team.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and great time management as you will often be working to tight timeframes.
  • Highly competent in using the relevant computer programs, Excel (advanced user) and MS Word
