Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in security screen systems and complementary products, is in search of an experienced Storeperson OR Pick Packer with Inventory / Stock experience to join their team on a permanent basis in Sunnybank Hills

This role is ongoing, Monday to Friday, with shift times from 2PM - 10:00PM Approx.


About the Role


As an Store person OR Pick Packer handling inventory, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring the accuracy of stock, and overseeing the storage and distribution of goods.

Your role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain and supporting the operational capabilities of our manufacturing plant.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet ongoing production requirements while minimizing excess supply.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies using inventory management software.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and systems to ensure accurate and timely inventory transactions.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate and safe handling of all materials.
  • Collaborate with production and procurement teams to forecast demand and ensure the availability of necessary materials.
  • Manage the calibration and maintenance of material handling equipment, including forklifts.
  • Generate and review inventory reports, and take corrective actions to resolve issues.
  • Lead efforts to improve inventory management processes, including the adoption of new technologies or methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all areas of inventory control and warehouse management.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure the efficient flow of materials across the supply chain.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills:

  • Minimum of one year experience in an Inventory Control or related role within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
  • High level of commitment, integrity, and a proactive, selfmotivated approach to work.

- Must have a valid driver's license and own car.

- Forklift license is required.

Job Types:

Pay:
$50, $60,000.00 per year

  • Sunnybank Hills, QLD 4110: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:


  • Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
  • Inventory control: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driver Licence (required)
  • Forklift Licence (required)
