The Division


The Customer, Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW.

We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.


The opportunity
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Change Lead
to join our Technology and Innovation team.

Please note that this is a fixed term full time role for up to 2 years.


You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective change management strategies and plans for a major program as well as influence leadership engagement that supports and enables the delivery of technology solutions and sustainable business outcomes in alignment with TfNSW's strategic vision and Technology Roadmap.

The role will drive critical change activities and initiatives to meet people, business and program objectives including the enabling of benefits realisation, stakeholder management, communications and training within a large complex program environment


This role involves:


  • Working collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to deliver all aspects of the change management program including analysing stakeholder needs and impacts and developing and executing a pragmatic, purpose fit change interventions to maximise user uptake and embedment of the new technology solution within the business. This includes (but is not limited to) designing and delivering change artefacts, training and communications plans as well as coordinating, monitoring and reporting on change readiness and adoption.
  • Leading and managing Business Change Impact Assessments, development of change responses, training and business readiness activities relating to new business processes, system and solution related changes.
  • Influencing leadership involvement to assist with delivering change management strategies and plans and make decisions that empower staff to adopt the changes.
  • Developing and implementing change management strategies, which reinforce and sustain transformational change.

About you:


  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Change Management with a proven track record in designing and leading technology change programs within large organisations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of change methodologies
  • Ability to establish and build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders and influence change adoption at various levels
  • Experience working in Agile environments is desirable
  • Experience in providing specialist advice and expertise in developing best practice change delivery frameworks will be highly regarded

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 9 ($142,178 - $159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
