Bulimba Community Kindergarten is a community based not-for-profit organisation that has been part of the Bulimba community since 1942.

We are a two (2) unit Kindy that provides a quality educational program to 88 children each week via both a short day 6 day fortnight program and a longer day 4 day fortnight program.

We have a well-earned reputation for providing a welcome, inclusive and stimulating environment for the children and their families.

Bulimba Community Kindergarten is seeking a highly motivated Early Childhood Assistant.

This is a permanent part-time (6 day fortnight) position working every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.00am to 3.35pm with contact hours of 8.45am to 2.45pm.

The position is available immediately. The remuneration package will be in accordance with the Bulimba Kindergarten's Early Childhood Agreement.


The ideal applicant will have:
Minimum of Certificate 111 in Children's Services or equivalent (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA)

Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards

Up to date First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate/s Paid Blue Card (or be willing to obtain one)

Prior experience in a Community Kindergarten or childcare setting is preferred

Prior experience developing and maintaining open and collaborative relationship with families and the community
