Experience with legislative and parliamentary processes and/or infrastructure projects would be highly desirable.
To provide timely and effective high level advice on policy issues, programs and services.
To assist in coordinating the development, implementation and project management of departmental and whole-of-government strategies.


Key duties and responsibilities:


  • Provide high level advice to ensure the efficient, effective and coordinated development of departmental strategies. Provide strategic analysis and advice on complex policy, program and legislative issues. Provide leadership and coordination of responses to identify departmental outcomes and strategies. Ensure a high level of liaison and consultation occurs to assist in the development and implementation of the wholeofgovernment policy, budget and reporting framework for departmental strategies. Develop and maintain effective linkages with staff and other departmental stakeholders to ensure the needs and issues identified are appropriately reflected in policy and programs. Contribute to the department's activities as a learning organisation and delivery of project outcomes by coordinating day to day operations.
