ABOUT THE ROLE
The HR Operations Manager role reports directly in to the Senior HR Director (APAC) and has 2 direct reports.

You will be responsible for the management of the employee lifecycle transactions, mobility, employee experience and employee relations.


This role supports APAC stores and corporate team members across all sites leading and taking full ownership of HR Operations and will drive excellence throughout all HR, Project Management and Health & Safety processes.


DUTIES

Employee Lifecycle

  • Plan and execute the annual lifecycle of people processes including formal checkins, compensation and benefits reviews, career conversations and development
  • Ensure our HR and Health & Safety policies and processes are aligned globally where possible whilst complying with local employment legislation
  • Support and partner with the HRBP's/business on data analytics (leave, sickness, new hires, exits, DIBs, other ad hoc requests)
  • Manage the HRIS system ensuring accuracy and work closely with the Payroll team to ensure team members are paid correctly and timely
  • Manage third party vendor portals / tools and drive connectivity between systems

Mobility

  • Oversee and manage global / regional / local mobility, ensuring immigration, tax and other compliance
  • Partner with vendors (immigration, tax, relocation) to ensure optimal service

Employee Experience

  • In partnership with the HRBPs and the business, develop, design, communicate and oversee the employee experience including events, wellbeing, recognition, onboarding & communication for the APAC region

Employee Relations

  • Proactively partner with the HRBPs on all Employee Relations issues, ensuring countryspecific compliance
  • Design and deliver training to team members on HR policies, process, systems, new legislation etc.

Project Management / Excellence

  • Ensure all HR Operational decisions are consistent with legislative and industrial requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong internal audit and risk management processes

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, experience in retail industry will be preferred but not required.
  • Sound knowledge of employment law in Australia (mandatory) and other APAC countries (preferred) including industry standards and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HR & Payroll processes & systems.
  • Excellent influencing, leadership, communication skills particularly within matrix style organizations
  • Experience in change management processes
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, based on feedback, stakeholder engagement, trend analysis, etc.
  • Ability to operate at a commercially strategic level as well as at the transactional and operational level
  • Ability to demonstrate agility and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
