Description
Champion and administration for QHSE including, but not limited to, audits, JSAs development and review, work permits, records management, incident investigations and assisting in the closing out of items (hazards, incidents etc),

  • Liaising with vessel crews, clients and internal stakeholders to plan and communicate production and maintenance for vessels and yard operations.
  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all assets are maintained to company specifications, particularly safety and availability.

Collaboration and Communication

  • There are close working relationships with the CEO, CFO, QHSE Controller, BU General Manager, Management Accountants, RIS Sales Manager, Laboratory Technician, Drivers, Yard staff, External customers, and Suppliers.

Reporting

  • Reports to: RIS General Manager.
  • Reporting in: Vessel Contractors, RIS Yard operators.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Tasks:


  • Daytoday and longterm operations and planning of RIS vessels, associated wharves and plant production and maintenance.
  • Key proponent for QHSE in the business, promoting and driving continuous improvement, incident and hazard investigation and closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, particularly QHSE related, by staff and contractors, particularly around inductions, qualifications,
  • Ensure safety in RIS premises, vessels and vehicles, as well as operations compliance with environmental permit conditions and WHS obligations.
  • Maintain QHSE systems and documentation.
  • Review and input to sitespecific risk register, including hazard identification and mitigation activities.
  • Maintenance and development of management systems in relation to general and specific areas of operations.
  • Ensure highquality products are delivered to RIS customers.
  • Maintain and develop management systems in relation to manufacturing, warehousing and delivering operations.
  • Collaborate with yard supervisor to optimise site operations planning and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures within the business as well as regulatory compliance.
  • Reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, ad hoc).

Key Competencies and Skills Required

Essential:


  • Proven abilities in planning production and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure and maintain safety and safety culture in the workplace.
  • Effective personnel management and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Above average computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office suite
  • Sound decision making processes.
  • Good problem solving and lateral thinking.

Desirable:


  • Bachelor's degree, diploma or certificate in Engineering or Science, Business or Logistics.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001 and ISM knowledge.
  • Facilitator of change, and champion for continuous improvement.
  • Competent technical knowledge of manufacturing, logistics and Quality assurance.
  • Effective on preparation and presentation of clear reports.
