YOUR ROLE

As the Automation Engineer for our WHS at Truganina VIC, you'll be responsible for maintain and optimise existing running automation performance and will provide assistance in identifying initiatives to add customers and proper volumes to the system (existing and new customers).

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

Analyse, measure and quantify the performance of the system and compare with the business case requirements using the data from WMS and automation control system
Provide Realtime inventory slotting to ensure correct products slotting in Autonomous Mobile Robot(AMR) to generate throughput
Deliver automation process improvement on various component and processes of the automation (AMR is the main focus) to achieve maximum productivity and minimum order fulfilment lead time
Develop detailed performance dashboard (preferably with PowerBI) to measure and indicate inbound/replenishment and picking/outbound productivities
Act as CEVA workstream lead in dealing with automation providers to raise system enhancement requests and follow up the action plan
Measure automation financial performance and profitability based on customer profiles
Train and mentor operation supervisors so they become intermediate level "Automation Super Users" and be capable of running report and measure system performance
Identify, test, and implement new functionality for existing automation and WMS sites/clients to deliver significant benefits to Operations and customers.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?You should also have:

Relevant diploma or tertiary qualification is desirable
Konwledge in technical aspects such as integration and troubleshooting
Strong analytical skill on big data
Excellent Microsoft suite software skills (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint).
Problem solving capability, commercial acumen and numeracy skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Bonus: Experience in AMR, Pick to/by light, ASRS and JDA Dispatcher
