Marriott International is looking for a Marketing Executive to join the growing Melbourne marketing cluster.

This position will be responsible for providing support to the Brand, Marketing, Digital team and facilitating the roll out of the marketing strategy across a portfolio of Premium and Select hotels and venues.


Under the leadership of the Director of Brand, Marketing and Digital, this role promotes on-brand messaging to guests and customers through traditional, digital and social media channels.

This role is dynamic and balances traditional and digital marketing across various business units and teams.

The successful applicant must be passionate about marketing, hotels and travel, have an excellent eye for detail, possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to actively contribute to truly compelling marketing and communications campaigns that excite, engage and drive sales and revenue.


The successful applicant will:


  • Facilitate social media management and execution across all social channels, including effective planning, content creation and coordination with third parties/suppliers, community management engagement strategies and reporting
  • Assist in the planning and execution of creative and engaging venue activations and events
  • Liaising with hotel teams, agencies and relevant stakeholders to ensure a coordinated sales, brand and marketing efforts
  • Support the Marketing team to activate the portfolio of hotels' on relevant traditional and digital platforms
  • Assist in the development, coordination and execution of communications activities
  • Assists in design, production and distribution of marketing collateral, ensuring adherence to brand standards consulting with department heads
to ensure all outlets have relevant assets that meet their marketing needs

  • Partner with hotel Operations, Food & Beverage and Sales teams to execute promotions and campaigns to target both external and inhouse guests with promotions that drive incremental revenue to the hotel
  • Partner with property Revenue Management to verify correct offer loading, verifying advertisement targeting is correctly directed at relevant consumer groups.
  • Verify all advertising for the hotel in digital channels is in alignment with brand voice
  • Assist with the management and execution of hotel sponsored events, community/government relations activities, and press promotional activities
  • Support pullthrough of impactful PR strategy and activities to drive quality press coverage through media engagement, in alignment with communications objectives
  • Assist with coordination of photography for hotel and F&B advertising, collateral and public relations purposes
  • Work with the Marriott Digital Services team to verify the hotel's website and related websites are updated on a regular basis
  • Work with the Field Marketing Area team to ensure participation in all aligned destination marketing efforts
  • Keep abreast of competition collateral, advertising, and marketing efforts, as well as constantly evolving digital and marketing trends
  • Support marketing duties and functions as deemed necessary including report and presentation preparation

About you:


  • Hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related major
  • At least 2 year experience in the hotels, marketing, events or digitalrelated professional area (hospitality marketing, content creation and digital advertising experience preferred)
  • Valid working rights in Australia
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong time management, administration skills and eye for detail
