About Finity:

Finity is a market leading strategic analytics firm, supporting some of Australia and New Zealand's foremost insurance and financial organisations.

We are a market leading, award winning service provider in the insurance and financial sectors.

Our consultants are some of the best in the world, combining deep industry knowledge with highly advanced technical analysis to offer innovative solutions and practical advice to our large client base.

These clients range from tech starts up through to large scale organisations across insurance, financial services and government.

Our team of over 270 cover a diverse range of skills including: actuarial, analytics, climate science, management consulting, technology and software development.

We deliver a wide range of services in areas such as product pricing, customer insights, business strategy, process automation, risk and capital management, climate risk assessment, financial forecasting, and regulatory compliance.

Alongside our advisory services we also offer a range of market leading software products, offering our clients data-driven and analytical automation tools to help them navigate their business challenges.

Team overview:

Finity's Perils & Climate Practice helps our clients understand the financial risks arising from natural perils, climate physical risk and climate transition risk; and develop strategies and governance to manage those risks.

This includes advising insurers on pricing for those perils, assisting banks to assess their exposure to climate risk today and in future, and helping governments and asset owners to understand the risks and opportunities that arise from climate.

Clients use data from our industry leading models for cyclone, flood, bushfire, storms and coastal hazards to drive data-based insights and strategies.

We also advise on transition risks - the economic shocks caused by a transition to net zero, and assist companies in developing strategies to manage these shocks to their customers and their business.

We also work with insurance clients to help them assess emissions from their supply chains and develop approaches to decarbonisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting client projects on assessing climate physical and transition risk using our models and data
  • Writing reports and presentations for clients based on our analysis
  • Working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Developing our perils and climate models, including ongoing work to integrate latest scientific research, improved methods, and new data sources
