ServiceStream's Energy and Water division are currently seeking a Field Supervisor - Asset Inspection to join our SAPN team.


Reporting directly to the Account Manager, you will be responsible for the contributing to the profitability and growth of ServiceStream by performing and auditing Stobie Pole Asset Inspections whilst adhering to relevant statutory legislation and ServiceStream's Policies & Procedures.


Primary duties include:

  • Acting as the first point of escalation and support for all fieldbased asset inspectors.
  • Monitoring and reporting on quality of asset information being collected and adherence to work practices amongst group of inspectors.
  • Assess corrosion levels of Stobie poles on behalf of SSEW ensuring that the information obtained is accurate.
  • Enter Data into PDA/Tough Book and record GPS Locations of Stobie Poles.
  • Contributes to the public perception of the company and service authority by dealing with the public in a courteous manner with high standards of personal presentation.
  • Assists the client by accurately reporting and recording information on assets that require attention.
Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains and protects all property of the company entrusted to them.
  • Maintains and protects all property of the client and the client's customers.
  • Contributes to the overall contract by reporting any problems or difficulties to their supervisor.
  • Ensures handheld PDA device is looked after and in working order.
  • Performs duties efficiently while following safe work instructions as outlined during training
  • Performs duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, including standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Follows instructions relating to health and safety procedures and uses all personal protective equipment as instructed
  • Complies with all legal requirements in relation to occupational health and safety including relevant Acts, regulations, codes of practice and Australian standards
  • Reporting injuries, potential injuries and near misses to supervisor or contract manager in a timely manner.
Skills and Experience

  • Certificate II in ESI
  • Asset Inspection is required.
  • Full Driver's License.
  • 4WD & Vehicle Recovery Training.
  • 2+ years' experience on performing services of SA Power Network including bushfire risk areas.
  • CPR & First Aid Training.
