A role that supports young people in Kinship care placements

  • Full time, permanent, based at our office in Bendigo
  • Using creative thinking and skill to engage carers, families and children

Your role:

You are passionate about working with young people impacted by trauma who reside in home based care.

We want you to use creative ways of thinking and problem solving to engage those who might be resistant to supports which includes, children, young people, carers and families.

You are going to need to think outside the box to get great outcomes and you will work with a team and a leader who will support you to do just that.


The skills we want you to use day to day:

  • Creative and outside of the box thinking.
  • The agility and skill to engage with complex adolescents.
  • A good knowledge of and a trauma informed approach.
  • Sophisticated understanding of the legislative, policy and practice environment of Out of Home Care and a passion for learning.
  • The ability to engage adults who are caring for Kin.
  • Strong networking and stakeholder engagement to run successful care team meetings.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management.

What you need to know:


  • Some flexibility to meet your needs in terms of hours and contract (call for details)
  • A salary at SCHCADS level 5 which equates to around $88,000 plus super.
  • Full time hours.
  • Flexible through the increments up to 5.3 (dependent upon experience).
  • Based at our beautiful building in Bendigo.
  • Office based with some flex to work from home but responsive to change.
