Location:
The Rocks


Hours of work: 8 hrs per day / 40 hrs per week (must be able to work weekends)


Primary purpose of the role:


Enhance the customer experience in The Rocks through the development and delivery of The Rocks Markets and key visitor experience initiatives.


Key accountabilities:


  • Assist with the onground delivery each weekend to execute The Rocks Markets include managing contractors, market traders and entertainers.
  • Support in the daytoday management of the online Market Trader booking system.
  • Manage the daytoday administration associated with the delivery of Markets including Trader correspondence, stall allocations and offers, and financial reporting.
  • Identify and resolve any issues during daily running of the markets to maximise public safety, trading and customer experience.
  • Assist with the delivery of markets customer experience initiatives.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Retail Marketing and Activation calendar, supporting excellence in execution for all programs across The Rocks and Darling Harbour.
  • Contribute to the delivery of best practice customer experience initiatives as part of the precinct Retail Marketing Plans and Always On Activation strategies.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in retail and placemaking and share findings to identify and develop new customer experience/retail initiatives.

Key challenges:


  • Planning and prioritising work to cope with workload demands and meet critical deadlines.
  • Effectively assists in managing internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve precinct visitation, activation and commercial outcomes.
