We are looking for a
Superintendent - Mine Technical Services (MTS) to implement transformational change and lead a high performing team of multi-disciplined professionals at one of our major iron ore operations in the Pilbara.

This role is well suited to someone that is a dynamic leader with an exemplary record in safety leadership and a passion developing positive team culture with a focus on fostering career development and career progression.

You will have practical mine planning and operations knowledge and the ability to prioritise and progress multi-streams of work in parallel.

Your strong business acumen and ability to build positive working relationships whilst influencing business outcomes in a networked organisation will also ensure your success in this role.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager the core responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Mining engineering: support mine production and integrated planning, including daily, short term and medium-term production planning
Drill and blast planning, scheduling, and technical support to mine operations
Mine surveying services to support planning and mine production
Mine geology and grade control
Hydrogeology monitoring to support WRES and mine dewatering teams
Geotechnical engineering to manage and mitigate geotechnical risk related to the mining operations.

In addition to the above, this role will provide regular site leadership coverage and support all departments providing the successful individual exposure to a variety of work fronts.

What you'll bring

Experience leading a team of mining technical professionals with passion for developing your team and empowering them to achieve their goals
Mining operations and significant technical experience with strong practical mine planning and operational knowledge
Ability to prioritise and progress multistreams of work in parallel
Miningrelated tertiary qualification seen as advantageous
Demonstrated experience building positive working relationships with the ability to influence business outcomes in a networked organisation
Strong business acumen with a comprehensive approach to ensure all technical and economic factors are taken into account
Ability to understand and manipulate complex technical information from a variety of technical disciplines (and deliver output fit for purpose & clearly communicated to customers)
