The Quality Assurance Officer role is designed to be fully functional in the 4-Day work week trial.

Job Summary


We are looking for a motivated Quality Assurance Officer who will be providing quality incident support and response to assigned lines/areas in a clear and timely manner, ensuring any potential breaches to standards or non-conformant trends are effectively managed or escalated.

You will work along internal teams and manage cross functional stakeholders on incident management and maintain Quality Management Systems, ensuring that the site is in full compliance with the Unilever Code of Practice for Enzyme handling and monitoring.

You will also participate in investigations and root cause analyses for deviations as required and assist in projects currently running at North Rocks.

Role Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for the following day to day activities:

  • Conduct enzyme analysis and environmental monitoring activities including reporting and trending of data
  • Conduct laboratory testing of finish goods, semi finish goods, starting materials
  • Maintenance of testing lab consumables and retention samples
  • Conduct and organize the calibration and validation of lab equipment
  • Monitor critical and quality control points within the production lines
  • Conduct Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspections and Internal Audits
  • Assist/participate in external quality & safety audits
  • Assisting in investigation of quality incidents and consumer complaints
  • Maintain product specifications and standard samples
  • Review and update documents and support factory validations
  • Supporting in Release and Hold Finish goods as required
Does this sound like You- Relevant or Tertiary qualification in Chemistry/Microbiology/other related Science- Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in Chemistry Analytical environment Prior experience in SAP/GMP/HACCP is highly regarded- Highly motivated with high problem-solving skills and work independently- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and ever-changing environment- Strong time management, communication and problem-solving skills are required
