About your new role
As the Queensland Regulatory Manager you will be responsible for leading the regulatory stakeholder engagement program. Your role will be a conduit between The Star's operational teams and the regulators for BAU regulatory relationship management.

You will need to build strong relationships with full and regular communication both with internal business units and regulators.

Your will be required to manage competing priorities, support the development of the regulatory team and attend internal and external meetings as well as draft correspondence and submissions while working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to assist The Star as it undergoes a period of rapid transformation.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive experience in regulatory or compliance roles in a highly regulated environment
  • Operational experience in a heavily regulated environment with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Experience in managing people, or being a senior member of a team in a mentoring capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in a regulatory affairs setting
  • Previous experience in working with regulatory authorities is preferred
  • The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines
  • Facilitative and collaborative approach when engaging with multiple stakeholders.
