    Description

    System Technician - Mechanical

    Be part of the team responsible for efficient operations and maintenance of the airport baggage handling system

    As a Global Leader in material handling automation, Daifuku continues to experience rapid growth. We have an opportunity for a System Technician - Mechanical Fitter to be part of our crew of likewise trade professionals responsible for maintaining and conducting preventative maintenance on baggage handling equipment, systems and services.

    Working as part of a committed team, responsibilities will include

  • Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the Baggage Handling System
  • Ensure all faults and baggage jams are identified and rectified in a quick, professional, and safe manner
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are carried out on schedule and that all work for maintenance and fault rectification is accurately recorded
  • Responsible for any documentation, records or checklists are filled in correctly, on-time and meet the required standards.
  • Being alert to the safety of self and others and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Liaising on a day-to-day basis with airport personnel, travelers and other persons in a courteous and professional manner

    You'll be looking to join a team that is invested in your success and your future. Your qualifications and experience will include

  • Qualified Mechanical Fitter qualification is essential
  • A broad knowledge of Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges
  • Demonstrated skills in carrying out various electrical tasks, i.e. renewals, repairs and maintenance.
  • Previous experience in working to various scheduled that include preventative maintenance.
  • Knowledge and skills in Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems is highly desirable.
  • Proven skills in ensuring documentation, checks lists, and records are maintained and accurate
  • Ability to work a rotating shift including weekends and public holidays
  • A safety-first approach
  • Current driver's license
