The Support at Home Reform Branch is responsible for the design of the Support at Home program that will replace the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, Home Care Packages Program and Short-Term Restorative Care Program.

This new program will be a $10 billion per year program and support 1.2 million older Australians.

The Branch's role includes policy development, financial and quantitative analysis, developing an underpinning classification model, consumer and provider research activities, stakeholder consultation and management, and overarching project management.

The Analytics section leads the analytical development of the Support at Home program, which includes costing the new program, demand modelling and scenario analysis, liaison with the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority to develop unit prices, data driven development of the new classification system, and research and analysis to explore the feasibility of higher levels of funding for in-home aged care.
