- The role you could play
We are seeking a values-driven Case Worker who will provide effective service delivery, ensuring case management, assessment and referral, education and support are provided to Withdrawal Management Participant accordance with TSA guidelines (within a comprehensive participant-led, recovery-based framework).
- Provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recoveryorientated and personled service environment
- To develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures
- Undertake ad hoc duties as requested by the Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Case Worker
- Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of highquality services
- Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participants
- Work collaboratively and professionally with other services
- Minimum Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management)
- Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment)
- Professional development required to maintain skills for the role
- Knowledge of AOD/gambling, community services and health sectors (preferably residential treatment settings)
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work with those impacted by substance abuse, gambling and mental health conditions
- Experience working with people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background
- Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions
- Experience working in collaboration with other organisations
- Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising deescalation techniques
- Sound computer literacy
- Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team both internally and externally
- High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external clients
- Current driver's licence (desirable)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- A National Criminal History Check
