  • The role you could play


We are seeking a values-driven Case Worker who will provide effective service delivery, ensuring case management, assessment and referral, education and support are provided to Withdrawal Management Participant accordance with TSA guidelines (within a comprehensive participant-led, recovery-based framework).

You will successfully

  • Provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recoveryorientated and personled service environment
  • To develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as requested by the Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Case Worker
  • Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of highquality services
  • Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participants
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with other services
This is a permanent, full-time position located in Surry Hills, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Level 4 Award.

  • Minimum Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management)
  • Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment)
  • Professional development required to maintain skills for the role
  • Knowledge of AOD/gambling, community services and health sectors (preferably residential treatment settings)
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work with those impacted by substance abuse, gambling and mental health conditions
  • Experience working with people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background
  • Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions
  • Experience working in collaboration with other organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising deescalation techniques
  • Sound computer literacy
  • Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team both internally and externally
  • High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external clients
  • Current driver's licence (desirable)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • A National Criminal History Check
