Project focus - Technology Design for Residential Care Settings.

  • Full time, fixed term (3year) positions x 3 at our Hawthorn campus.
  • Annual stipend of $29,432 per annum.

About the Scholarship


These scholarships will work closely the Living Lab team as part of an ARC Discovery project and an ARC Linkage project with award-winning aged care provider (Martin Luther Homes) and an educational technology provider (The Brainary).


About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • A bachelor's degree honours and/or a research master's degree in a discipline relevant to the research topic (or equivalent).
  • Skills and willingness to undertake experimental research that meets aged care /project needs.
  • Demonstrated strong social and adaptive communication skills to interact with a range of people from community, industry and the university sector.
  • Interpersonal skills including written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new research and data analysis skills and systems.
  • An interest in and ability in working with older adults with and without cognitive impairment.
  • Students with experience in music, exercise and group activities for developing technologies are preferred although a background in these areas is not essential.
