The Opportunity:

We currently have an opportunity available for a Payroll Officer to join our team in Brisbane on a permanent basis.

Joining as the Payroll Officer you'll be responsible for delivering effective and seamless payroll support.

You will ensure appropriate payment, disbursement, checking and reconciliation procedures are undertaken in a timely manner and in line with legislative requirements.

About you:

Minimum of two (2) years' specific payroll experience preferably gained in a high volume work environment (500+ employees), including payroll processing, processing of termination pays, strong leave analysis and reconciliation skills, etc.
Comprehensive understanding and effective use of standard software packages (particularly Microsoft Excel) and systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of and interpretation of current legislation which directly effect the payroll function i.e. tax legislation.
Ability to work autonomously and in a highpressure environment.
The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and balance conflicting workloads and demands.
