Your role


The Senior Executive Officer provides a range of high level executive, secretariat, and project support services to the Executive including providing strategic advice, managing communications and implementing strategies to support the achievement of the organisation's strategic and operational objectives.


Key accountabilities

  • Manage Executive Directors' office communication, correspondence, diary, and travel and accommodation.
  • Provide a range of meeting support services, including preparation of agendas, organising venues and writing and distribution of minutes, to contribute to the efficient running of meetings.
  • Complete routine systems based financial transactions, including raising and receipting of purchase orders and assisting with making payments, to ensure compliance with SINSW processes and procedures.
  • Administer and maintain records management systems and processes to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
  • Collect and compile information to support the preparation of documentation and correspondence in line with SINSW requirements to support information flow and inform decision making.
  • Respond to internal and external enquiries, escalating or redirecting associated issues, to ensure the provision of accurate information.

  • Communicating effectively and professionally with internal and external clients and staff at all organisation levels and working cooperatively as a team member.
  • Exercising sound judgement in organising own work to meet deadlines when working under considerable pressure with large or variable volumes of work.
  • Being flexible and responsive to the identified priorities of the directorate and willing to embrace new technologies to improve business processes and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.

About you

  • Must have 5 years experience in an Executive Support Officer role.
  • Previous experience in state, local or federal government beneficial.
  • Typing speed 50WPM.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Mail Management, TRIM.
  • Reliable and Punctual.
  • Highly Organised and have high attention to detail.
