Role Summary

  • The team is split across Melbourne and Singapore, who all report into the Manager of the APAC Client Solutions Consulting team, based in Melbourne

What you will do:


  • Act as the primary contact for assigned client relationships and establish excellent client service through proactive interaction with assigned relationships.
  • Work with relationship manager and client to gain understanding of client needs and implement accordingly.
  • Develop solutions / project manage the build or modification of custom reports within Northern Trust Passport for clients.
  • Work with clients and/or partners to devise solutions using data and technology.
  • Keep abreast of new and existing bank products, technology and services in order to meet the needs and experience of new and existing clients.
  • Communicate and monitor implementation plan to ensure that the product/report enhancements meet client expectations.
  • Serve as the liaison between the client, change management and the development teams.
  • Act as liaison for any technical issues/system outages between Client services and technical teams and communicate where appropriate
  • Coordinate and participate in training presentations with partners and clients, at Northern Trust and at client site.
  • Utilise Northern Trust data to prepare and target client conversations.
  • Manage the release of new products or product updates and system changes to assigned relationships.
  • Provide feedback to Product groups on client needs to aid product development.
  • Participate in management meetings, presentations or sales demonstrations as required.
  • Some travel required to visit clients/prospects, occasionally on short notice.

About You:


  • Broad knowledge of the Securities Industry, gained either in a global custody, fund accounting or Investment Management environment
  • The ability to manage client expectations, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with clients on a day to day basis.
  • Good presentations skills.
  • Personal time management and ability to prioritise tasks in a multitasking environment.
  • Previous experience in a problem solving environment.
  • Previous experience in a systems environment.
  • Some knowledge of systems capabilities, usually acquired through experience or formal training, is required to coordinate product implementation and enhancement.
  • Ability to pick up bespoke internal systems quickly.
  • Organizational, analytical, negotiation and project management skills are required to direct implementation activities, prioritise tasks and to work autonomously and with a team.
