Key strategic and operational decision-making role:

  • Senior leadership opportunity

About the organisation

The Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity (AFSE) is a life-changing fellowship for Indigenous social equity in Australia, Aotearoa and the Pacific region.

Based at the University of Melbourne, the AFSE program represents a 20-year investment into Indigenous-led social change through a powerful network of Fellows.

The fellowship provides an intensive foundation year with a postgraduate qualification and a lifelong membership in a global community of changemakers across seven international hubs.

About the role

Reporting to the Executive Director and as a member of the leadership team, the Associate Director Operations will oversee procedures for the AFSE program and play a key role in strategic and operational decision making.

Guiding and leading a team including finance and communications, the role will build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including partners, vendors and communities.

The appointee will develop and drive planning processes, provide informed strategic advice, and oversee compliance and quality assurance management.

A focus of the role will be continually reviewing and providing high level advice on human resource matters, including workforce planning, performance and development planning.
